EDO STATE RECLAIMS NIGERIAN OBSERVER PRINTING PRESS

In a decisive move to revamp state-owned media, the Edo State Government has reclaimed full control of the Nigerian Observer printing press, which was previously managed by private consultants under the former administration.

Governor Monday Okpebholo directed staff to resume operations, marking a fresh chapter for the iconic media house. The handover ceremony, led by Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu, witnessed the peaceful return of assets by Fountain Brook Publishing Limited.

Ohonbamu emphasized the importance of this development, stating, “The Observer is here to keep the public informed. With this retrieval, we will revamp operations and ensure quality news delivery.”

The acting General Manager, Sylvester Oboh, expressed gratitude to Governor Okpebholo, noting that the restoration of the printing press would revitalize the newspaper’s operations.
