The All Progressives Congress (APC) plans to expand its National Executive Committee (NEC) to accommodate more members, party spokesperson Felix Morka confirmed.
A seven-member committee, led by Yobe Governor Mala Buni, has been set up to determine criteria for new NEC members.
During the meeting, NEC passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, commending their leadership. The committee also approved the party’s audited financial statements and budget.
This was the first NEC meeting under Tinubu’s administration, attended by key officials including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Abbas Tajudeen.
