PFN SLAMS FG OVER KILLINGS, SAYS NIGERIANS VOTED A COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, NOT A MOURNER-IN-CHIEF
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action against the ongoing killings across the country. PFN President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, expressed deep concern over the incessant attacks, particularly in Benue State, describing them as “mindless, satanic acts” that contravene God’s will for Nigeria.
Bishop Oke criticized the federal government’s response to the crisis, stating, “Nigerians voted for a Commander-in-Chief, not a Mourner-in-Chief.” He dismissed claims that the perpetrators are foreign elements, insisting that the government must protect the country’s territorial integrity and hold those responsible accountable.
The PFN also condemned the lack of political will to end the crisis and urged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to take concrete action to restore security. Bishop Oke emphasized the need for sincerity and commitment from the government to end the killings and restore peace across the nation.
