The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the suspension of its South-South zonal Vice Chairman, Usani Usani, citing alleged insubordination and anti-party activities. Â
A statement issued by the national leadership of ADC accused Usani of acting contrary to the party’s constitution and engaging in actions detrimental to the party’s integrity. The suspension takes immediate effect pending further internal investigation. Â
Usani’s suspension comes amid heightened tensions within the party, as defections and internal realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 election cycle. The move is likely to shape political alignments in the South-South geopolitical zone. Â
Though the statement did not detail specific infractions, it warned that party discipline would be enforced strictly and that no member is above the party’s code of conduct. Usani may respond with repetition or appeal, sources say. Â
