AKPABIO DECLARES END OF POLITICAL PARTIES IN AKWA IBOM
Senate President Godswill Akpabio declared the collapse of party politics in Akwa Ibom State ahead of 2027, claiming that all political structures in the state have aligned with him, Governor Umo Eno, and President Bola Tinubu. Speaking at a midterm empowerment event in Ikot Ekpene, Akpabio said the PDP “umbrella is in shreds” and lauded Governor Eno as a man who governs with the fear of God.
Akpabio’s wife, Unoma, was also praised for her ongoing empowerment initiatives. The event saw the distribution of over 1,600 items, including buses, tricycles, generators, rice bags, and cash grants. Akpabio also announced the commissioning of 68 constituency projects over two days.
Local government chairman Ntiedo Usoro applauded Akpabio’s continued commitment to grassroots development.
