In a strong display of party unity, governors under the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) paid a condolence visit to Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda following a recent car accident and the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Led by PGF Chairman and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, the delegation met with Radda at the Katsina Governor’s Lodge in Abuja. The visit served as both a show of solidarity and a moment of reflection following the former president’s passing.
“We give glory to God for your survival. Your recovery is symbolic of the resilience of our party,” Uzodimma said, urging the governor to prioritise rest and rehabilitation.
Condolences were also extended to Katsina State and Nigeria at large over Buhari’s death, with Uzodimma commending Tinubu’s decision to lead a presidential delegation to the funeral—an act Radda described as “unprecedented in Nigerian history.”
Radda affirmed the party’s unity, noting, “Our togetherness sends a powerful message—APC is focused and prepared for the future.”
Attendees included 15 APC governors, party officials, and government representatives, highlighting the strength of the APC’s internal cohesion amid recent political turbulence.
