BAUCHI GOVERNMENT SACKS TWO OFFICIALS OVER FORGERY

The Bauchi State Government has terminated the appointments of two government officials after a misconduct investigation concluded they were involved in forgery. The officials, whose names have not been immediately disclosed, were removed from their posts following confirmation of document falsification.

An internal probe revealed that forged certificates or signatures had been used in official submissions or transactions, violating public service regulations. The state governor, in a statement, said the action reflects the administration’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption and fraudulent behavior in public offices.

The Bauchi government further directed the anti-corruption commission in the state to pursue further investigations, including possible prosecution under relevant state and federal laws.
