The newly appointed Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Sarah Asemota, has pledged to promote inclusive and collaborative leadership in advancing Governor Godwin Obaseki’s “SHINE Agenda,” a multi-sector initiative aimed at building a prosperous and people-centered Edo State.
Speaking during her assumption of office at the ministry in Benin City, Asemota expressed appreciation to the Governor for the opportunity to serve and assured that she would work with youth groups, civil society, and community-based organizations to drive sustainable development and humanitarian support across the state.
She stressed the importance of teamwork, innovation, and accountability in governance, promising to leverage partnerships with development agencies to expand youth capacity-building and volunteer-driven humanitarian projects.
Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Felicia Osezua, welcomed the new commissioner and pledged staff commitment to the realization of the ministry’s mandate.
