A delegation of European investors has visited Edo State to explore opportunities in agriculture, renewable energy, and skills development.
The team, comprising business leaders from Germany, France, and the Netherlands, held talks with Governor Monday Okpebholo and top government officials in Benin City.
According to the delegation leader, the visit was prompted by Edo’s abundant arable land, youthful population, and growing reputation as a hub for innovation and investment in Nigeria.
Governor Okpebholo assured the investors of the state government’s readiness to provide land, infrastructure, and security to support their projects. He highlighted Edo’s ongoing reforms in education, agriculture, and the energy sector, stressing that the state is open for business.
The discussions are expected to culminate in partnerships that could boost food production, create jobs, and reduce dependence on imports.
