The Federal Government has launched a nationwide inspection of Federal Unity Colleges, following reports that at least two institutions served substandard meals to students.
The Ministry of Education, in a statement signed by its Director of Press & Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, confirmed that the principals of the affected schools have been summoned for further investigations.
Senior officials have been deployed to the schools to ensure immediate compliance with feeding and welfare policies. Additionally, the government has initiated a broader review of all Federal Unity Colleges to assess the quality of food and overall student care.
“The Ministry remains committed to upholding high standards in these institutions and ensuring students receive proper nourishment and support,” the statement read.
