GOVERNOR ENO CELEBRATES PERSONAL AIDE’S INDUCTION AS MEDICAL DOCTOR, AWARDS N1 MILLION CASH GIFT
, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has applauded the dedication and perseverance of his Personal Assistant on Student Affairs, Dr. Wisdom Emmanuel, during the young man’s induction into the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. The ceremony, held at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, marked the culmination of years of rigorous academic pursuit and personal sacrifice. Represented by the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Augustine Vincent Umoh, the governor spoke to the graduating class of 37 medical doctors, highlighting the importance of discipline, character, and community service in their chosen profession.
Governor Eno praised Dr. Emmanuel’s journey as symbolic of the values the ARISE Agenda seeks to promote — youth empowerment, excellence in education, and service-driven leadership. He urged the inductees to carry their medical responsibilities with humility and compassion, reminding them that the essence of medicine lies not only in science but also in empathy and trust.
As a token of appreciation and motivation, Governor Eno announced a N1 million gift to Dr. Emmanuel and N500,000 to each of the other 36 inductees. He noted that his administration is actively investing in healthcare infrastructure, personnel development, and strategic policy reforms to ensure that young professionals like Emmanuel have platforms to thrive and serve effectively. The event was celebrated by families, health sector stakeholders, and government officials who commended the state’s commitment to nurturing talent.
