GOVERNOR SULE STRENGTHENS PHCS WITH 2,267 PERSONNEL, ₦9BN EQUIPMENT

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has approved the recruitment of 2,267 health personnel and the provision of medical equipment worth ₦9 billion to strengthen Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the state.

The governor disclosed this during a health sector briefing in Lafia, stating that the initiative is aimed at ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for rural and urban dwellers alike. He noted that the new staff include doctors, nurses, midwives, and community health workers to bridge manpower gaps in underserved areas.

Sule emphasized that the state government is determined to meet universal health coverage standards and reduce infant and maternal mortality rates. He called on the newly recruited workers to serve with dedication and integrity.
