Nasarawa State Governor has called on citizens, community leaders and all levels of government to embrace a shared responsibility for addressing Nigeria’s pressing security, economic and social challenges. Speaking at a public event in the state capital, the governor said sustainable progress requires collective action rather than isolated policies or blame games.
The governor urged traditional rulers, youth groups, religious leaders and private sector actors to partner with government in areas such as community policing, education, and local infrastructure. He stressed that local initiatives backed by state and federal support can close gaps in service delivery and build resilience in vulnerable communities.
State officials said the administration will roll out a series of community engagement programmes and multisector taskforces to translate the call into practical measures. The governor also asked citizens to report criminality, support school enrolment drives and participate in state-led development planning to ensure the benefits of policy reach grassroots communities.
