Government expenditure data has revealed that the Nigerian Army’s payroll for 2024 totaled N139.1 billion, covering salaries for personnel and the Nigerian Army University, Biu.
The transactions, recorded between February and October 2024, were processed through the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
An analysis of the data showed monthly salary disbursements ranging between N11.4 billion and N20.5 billion, while the university received between N5.5 million and N218.6 million per month.
October recorded the highest payment, with N20.57 billion allocated to army salaries, while July had the lowest disbursement at N11.43 billion.
The report provides insight into the government’s financial commitments to the military, shedding light on its wage structure and expenditure trends.
