Lafia, Nasarawa — Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Barde, the Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, has died after a brief illness. He passed away on Tuesday September 16th in Lafia.
Family sources confirmed that his burial will take place in his hometown, Wamba, under Islamic rites.
Hon. Barde had previously served as Interim Management Committee Chairman of Wamba Local Government Area during the administration of former Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura. Party officials and state leaders have described his death as a significant loss to both APC and the community in Nasarawa.
