The Nigerian military has reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, assuring the public that he is under constant surveillance.
Chief of Defence Operations, Major General Emeka Onumajuru has dismissed claims of setbacks, insisting that Turji is hiding and will soon be neutralized.
“There is absolutely no forth and back between Bello Turji and the Armed Forces. As I speak, Bello Turji is completely in hiding, and we are tracking him. Very soon, he will be eliminated,” Onumajuru said.
He urged Nigerians to remain patient, explaining that neutralizing high-profile criminals requires careful precision due to their movements.
The military’s renewed efforts come amid heightened security concerns in the North, with recent offensives against bandit enclaves in Zamfara, Sokoto, and Katsina states.
