NORTHERN YOUTH GROUP TARGETS ATIKU, EL-RUFAI OVER NATIONAL ASSETS
A northern youth group affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of attempting to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The group’s national coordinator, Mujahid Zaitawa, alleged that the duo’s actions during the Obasanjo administration, particularly the privatization of national assets, contributed to Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
Zaitawa questioned the whereabouts of the funds generated from the sale of assets such as Aviation, NEPA, Railway, and Federal Housing. He warned that Nigerians would reject any attempt by Atiku and El-Rufai to return to power and announced plans to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds.
The group has given Atiku and El-Rufai two weeks to respond to the allegations, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency in the management of national resources.
