Kaduna — The Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that the only realistic way to remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power is through a broad-based coalition led by the PDP.
Speaking during a press conference in Kaduna, the chairman said Nigerians are increasingly disillusioned by the APC’s governance style, citing rising insecurity, inflation, unemployment, and the weakening of public institutions. He argued that while the PDP remains the strongest opposition force, a united coalition is necessary to rally diverse political interests across the country.
The chairman cautioned that such a coalition must be anchored on sincerity, mutual respect, and a clear agenda for national transformation. He warned against selfish alliances formed merely for electoral gain, insisting that Nigerians would only rally behind a coalition that demonstrates integrity and the ability to deliver real change.
Party loyalists at the event echoed his views, calling for unity talks to begin immediately ahead of the 2027 general elections. Political analysts have also noted that a credible coalition could tilt the balance in key battleground states if properly structured and well-funded.
