Osun APC Rejects $20M Fraud Claims Against Oyetola

The Osun State chapter of the APC has dismissed fraud allegations against former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, calling them politically motivated.

Governor Ademola Adeleke recently submitted a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing Oyetola of money laundering and violating procurement laws. Adeleke’s administration claims that a Contract Review Committee uncovered corruption and financial mismanagement under Oyetola’s leadership.

However, APC’s Media Director, Kola Olabisi, has refuted the claims, arguing that Adeleke is using the allegations to discredit his predecessor after failing to assert control over local government councils.

“Unlike Oyetola, who made details of 110 contracts public, Adeleke’s administration has only published seven contracts in the past two years. This raises serious questions about their commitment to transparency,” Olabisi stated.

The Osun government insists that the petition is based on solid evidence, and the EFCC is expected to investigate the matter further.
