The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has vowed to dislodge the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming 2027 general elections in Delta State. This declaration came on Wednesday, January 5th during a meeting with Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. Nwoko’s recent defection to the APC was marked by a formal letter read in the Senate by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
Ganduje expressed confidence that APC now has full representation in the Senate from Delta State, and he promised to work with party members in the state to ensure a successful electoral outcome. He credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms, including improvements in oil production and security, for spurring the APC’s momentum. Ganduje also emphasized the need for unity within the Delta APC chapter, urging all stakeholders to put aside differences and collaborate towards securing the state for the party.
In his remarks, Senator Nwoko criticized Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, claiming that the governor lacks the capacity to govern Delta and had failed to fulfill critical projects promised to the people.
