Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Ministry of Power has pledged full support for the upcoming Nigeria Energy Conference, describing it as a crucial platform for policy dialogue and innovation in the quest for a stable and sustainable national electricity sector. Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, who confirmed the ministry’s participation, said the government views the event as an opportunity to showcase its ongoing power-sector reforms and renewable-energy initiatives.
The conference, scheduled for next month in Lagos, is expected to bring together local and international energy stakeholders, investors, researchers and regulators to deliberate on new technologies, off-grid solutions, and private-sector financing models.
Chief Adelabu emphasised that the Tinubu administration’s Power Sector Reform Roadmap—with its focus on decentralised generation, metering expansion, and transmission upgrades—requires broad stakeholder collaboration. “Our partnership with the Nigeria Energy Conference will help attract investment and accelerate innovation that can bridge the gap between policy intent and power delivery,” he said.
Organisers have confirmed that technical sessions will feature topics on hydrogen energy, smart grids, and digital infrastructure in electricity management, with exhibitors from over 20 countries expected.
