REMI TINUBU URGES GLOBAL FIRST LADIES TO SHAPE FUTURE FOR YOUTHS

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, has called on global First Ladies to become proactive architects of youth empowerment, urging them to harness their roles as maternal influencers and public advocates to shape an inclusive future.
Speaking at the Third Global First Partners Academy in New York, Senator Tinubu declared: “We cannot wait for the future to happen; we must shape it now.”
Her address titled “First Partners’ Role in the World: Preparing the Youth for the Future” underscored the need to equip young people with digital, creative, and civic skills to navigate the rapidly evolving global terrain influenced by technology, migration, climate change, and economic disruption.
Tinubu championed Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which includes scholarships, mentorships, and digital inclusion initiatives under her Renewed Hope Initiative. She challenged fellow First Ladies to leverage their convening power to tackle structural inequalities affecting youth and women, and to serve as moral compasses in times of global change.
Panel discussions at the summit explored the intersection of AI, youth development, and women’s health, with emphasis on collaborative solutions and social impact.
