The Rivers State chapter of the APC says it has been vindicated after former Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, alleged that suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara masterminded the 2023 bombing of the State House of Assembly.
Speaking recently, Nwaeke claimed that Governor Fubara directed his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, to orchestrate the attack in an attempt to prevent his impeachment by lawmakers loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Reacting to the revelation, Rivers APC Chairman, Tony Okocha, insisted that the party’s earlier claims have been proven true. He urged security agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure justice is served.
Okocha further stated that the revelation solidifies the APC’s role as the only credible opposition party in Rivers State and strengthens its prospects ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
