RUSSIAN MISSILE STRIKE KILLS UKRAINIAN TROOPS IN NORTH

Ukrainian authorities confirmed that a Russian missile strike targeted a military training unit—likely in the Chernihiv region—late Tuesday July 28th , killing three service members and injuring eighteen. The attack was reportedly carried out via an Iskander ballistic missile that triggered multiple cluster-type explosions.
This marks the third such strike on training units in just over two months. Earlier attacks in Sumy and other northern areas resulted in multiple deaths and widespread injuries. A subsequent investigation led to the resignation of Commander Mykhailo Drapatyi, who acknowledged failures in troop safety protocols.
In a separate incident, Ukrainian officials reported the death of a sixth person in hospital following a Russian strike on a humanitarian aid point in Kharkiv, where civilians queuing for water were hit, and a fire erupted.
