Senate Confirms Enugu Attorney-General Doro Udeh as Minister

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the nomination of Enugu State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Doro Udeh, as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Udeh’s confirmation followed a comprehensive screening session on the Senate floor, where lawmakers reviewed his qualifications and professional record. With the Senate’s approval, the Enugu-based legal expert will proceed to assume ministerial responsibilities once formally sworn in by President Bola Tinubu.

Legislative sources said his confirmation forms part of the federal government’s ongoing effort to strengthen its cabinet composition with individuals of tested capacity and regional representation. The appointment is also expected to bolster Enugu’s presence in the federal executive council, as Udeh transitions from state-level administration to the national stage.
