Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has appealed to citizens for patience as his administration works to address mounting economic and infrastructural challenges in the state.
Speaking during a state address, Kefas admitted that harsh realities, including dwindling federal allocations and the rising cost of governance, have slowed down some of his administration’s ambitious projects. However, he assured residents that efforts are ongoing to improve healthcare, education, agriculture, and road networks.
The governor also reiterated his administration’s determination to run an inclusive government that prioritizes transparency and accountability. He acknowledged the frustrations of citizens who expect faster results but stressed that meaningful development requires time and collective sacrifice.
Political analysts note that Kefas’s appeal comes at a critical juncture, as opposition voices in the state have begun questioning his ability to deliver on campaign promises. They argue that managing expectations while keeping the population hopeful will be key to sustaining confidence in his government.
