Abuja — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ended his working vacation earlier than planned and is set to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.
The presidency, through Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that Tinubu initially departed Nigeria on September 4 for France and had intended to split his leave between France and the United Kingdom.
During his time in Paris, President Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation, trade, security, and other critical areas of mutual interest, according to statements from the presidency.
His early return is viewed by many observers as a signal of readiness to address pressing national issues, especially as governance, policy reforms and other urgent matters await his attention in Abuja.
