AFDB PRESIDENT OULD TAH PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO PRESIDENT OUATTARA

The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Dr. Mohamed Ould Tah, has paid a courtesy visit to Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara in Abidjan. The meeting underscored the strong partnership between the Bank and Côte d’Ivoire, with discussions focused on ongoing development projects and future collaboration in key sectors including infrastructure, energy, and agricultural transformation.

President Ouattara commended AfDB’s long-standing role in supporting economic growth in Côte d’Ivoire and across the continent. Dr. Ould Tah reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to accelerating inclusive growth and strengthening resilience in the face of global economic headwinds.

The visit also highlighted AfDB’s broader vision for Africa—driven by its “High 5” priorities: Light Up and Power Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the Quality of Life for Africans. With Côte d’Ivoire hosting the Bank’s headquarters, both sides stressed the importance of deepening ties and ensuring that development financing translates into tangible improvements in the lives of citizens.
