GOVERNOR MUTFWANG UNVEILS WORLD-CLASS HEALTH FACILITIES IN PLATEAU STATE

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has commissioned a state-of-the-art laboratory complex, a paediatric ward, and an administrative block at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital in Jos. The new medical hub, hailed as the most sophisticated in Northern Nigeria, is equipped for haematology, microbiology, chemical pathology, and histopathology, with an integrated electronic medical records system. Mutfwang affirmed the state’s ambition to end its reliance on paper-based records and ensure better health access across all LGAs. Health Commissioner Dr. Nicholas Ba’amlong and the hospital’s CMD, Prof. Christopher Yilgwan, praised the Governor’s dedication to healthcare renewal, citing widespread upgrades across general hospitals and improvements via the state’s health insurance scheme.
