No vacancy in Abia Government House in 2027 — Eleazu

Elder statesman and former Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) chairman, Dr. Uma Eleazu, has declared that there will be “no vacancy” in the Abia State Government House in 2027, stating that Governor Alex Otti deserves a second term to consolidate on his ongoing reforms.

Speaking at a joint birthday celebration with his wife in Umuahia, Dr. Eleazu praised Governor Otti for “restoring confidence, improving governance, and elevating the happiness index of Abia residents from negative to over 80 per cent within two years.”

He argued that Otti’s performance in infrastructure, transparency, and citizen welfare marks a major departure from previous administrations, and said Abians should allow him to complete an eight-year tenure to sustain current progress.

Dr. Eleazu’s statement is being viewed as an early political endorsement that could shape discussions ahead of the 2027 elections, with the Labour Party governor already drawing attention for his developmental strides across the state.
