Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South in the National Assembly, has revealed that several governors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties are preparing to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during a political program on Sunday, Ibrahim asserted that while criticisms have been directed at the APC, the party continues to attract members from the opposition.
“You seem to focus only on internal criticisms within the APC but ignore the fact that people are joining us from the PDP,” he said. “Look at Wike, who identifies as PDP but serves in the APC government. There are more like him.”
The senator claimed that more governors and lawmakers are in the process of switching allegiances, though he declined to name them. “Next time I’m here, I’ll confirm some of these governors by name,” he promised.
