THE PAPYRUS GLOBAL RELEASES BENUE STATE RECIPIENTS FOR 2025 PAMSHAA

The stage is set for Benue State lawmakers to be honoured at the upcoming Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA), with the organisers officially releasing the state’s list of shortlisted recipients.

The announcement comes after the founder, Hon. Chief Doofan Justin Damsa confirmed that over 20 states have already submitted entries for this year’s edition.
Scheduled for Saturday, 30th August 2025, the third edition of PAMSHAA will recognise legislators across the states of the Nigerian federation for outstanding performance in lawmaking, representation, and service to the people.

On the Benue shortlist, The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Hyacinth Dajoh will be honored with the Pillar of Peace and Unity in Governance Award, while the Majority Leader Hon. Tiseer Saater Godfrey will take — The Best Performing Member with Highest and impactful Private Member Bill and The Masses Most Loved House Member. Minority Whip Rt. Hon. Cephas Dyako clinged Most Effective/Productive House Standing Committee Chairman for his leadership of the Committee on Education (Primary and Secondary).
In the category of Best Performing Member in Constituency Outreach, four lawmakers made the list: Hon. Simon Tor Gabo (Ushongo Constituency) (Excellence in Grassroots Leadership and Legislative Courage) , Hon. Comrade. Abraham Zahemen Jabi (Buruku Constituency) (Outstanding Legislator for Education and Rural Infrastructure Development), Hon. Angbo Kennedy Agbogo (Otukpo/Akpa),(Outstanding Humanitarian Legislator), and

(Tiev Constituency) (Most Outstanding Legislator for Human Capital & Community Transformation).
The House Standing Committee on Rules, Business, and Government has been shortlisted for Best Performing House Standing Committee, while Majority Chief Whip Hon. Ipusu Peter Bemdoo will take the Most Vocal/Eloquent Member on the Floor of the House.

While the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly will not compete in these categories, he will go head-to-head with other Speakers in the North Central Zone for the title of Best Performing Speaker in the Zone, a process still underway.

According to the organisers, the list is the outcome of a detailed performance evaluation designed to spotlight lawmakers making significant impacts in their constituencies. The awards ceremony will also feature Special Papyrus Magazine edition profiling the shortlisted honourees, with friends, associates, and family members invited to join the celebration.
