2027: Ajaja accuses Yahaya Bello of Deception, says Kogi People can’t be fooled by Political Charade

Former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, has accused former Governor Yahaya Bello of trying to manipulate the political atmosphere in the state through deceptive alliances and propaganda.

Ajaka, in a statement issued on Sunday, October 19th alleged that Bello’s recent political activities are aimed at deflecting attention from his ongoing corruption investigations and his declining influence in the state.

“No amount of propaganda or sponsored rallies can deceive the good people of Kogi. They know those who looted their future and left the state in debt and division,” Ajaka stated.

He accused Bello of attempting to “impose his will” on the people through handpicked loyalists and backdoor deals, warning that the coming 2027 elections would expose those exploiting public trust for personal gain.

Ajaka reaffirmed his commitment to “building a united Kogi” and urged residents to reject what he called “the politics of intimidation, deceit, and personal worship.”

The statement comes amid reports of renewed tension within the Kogi APC as factions loyal to Bello and others aligned with national party figures jostle for control of the state’s political structure.
