2BABA INTRODUCES NEW FIANCÉE NATASHA OSAWARU TO HOMETOWN ELDERS
Afrobeats legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has taken a significant personal step by formally introducing his new fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to the traditional rulers and elders of his Idoma homeland in Benue State.
The introduction occurred at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium. Dressed in full Idoma regalia, 2Baba proudly presented Osawaru — a former Deputy Majority Leader in the Edo State House of Assembly — to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V, and other dignitaries.
The couple then traveled to Okpokwu, 2Baba’s ancestral home, where local elders and family members received the bride-to-be warmly. The visit was seen as a mark of respect and a traditional rite of passage, signaling the musician’s intent to formalize his relationship with Osawaru.
This comes shortly after 2Baba publicly announced his separation from longtime wife, Annie Idibia. In a viral video posted earlier this year, the singer described Osawaru as “a young, brilliant, and amazing woman” whom he planned to marry. His openness about the new relationship has stirred both admiration and controversy among fans.
