Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has promised that Abuja will achieve global city standards before the end of President Bola Tinubu’s tenure. Speaking at the launch of the Arterial Road N20 project, Wike highlighted ongoing infrastructure developments across the city, which include road expansions, commercial district upgrades, and urban planning initiatives.
He detailed several ongoing projects aimed at improving public amenities, including the modernization of public transport systems, drainage rehabilitation, and the construction of state-of-the-art government facilities. Wike emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between government agencies and contractors to ensure timely completion of these projects.
Residents were encouraged to cooperate with authorities by adhering to safety regulations and minimizing disruptions in construction zones. Wike assured that continuous monitoring and quality assurance measures would be implemented to guarantee that Abuja’s transformation meets international standards, making it a competitive city globally.
