ADC SAYS IT WILL DEFEAT APC IN NORTH-WEST

The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its intention to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West region at upcoming elections, describing the zone as a priority theatre for opposition gains. Party officials framed the strategy as a response to what they called governance gaps and a need to present fresh alternatives at the ballot box.

ADC spokespeople said they are mobilising grassroots structures, strengthening local candidate selection processes and intensifying voter outreach across the region. The party claimed recent defections and rising local support as indicators that its message is resonating, while acknowledging the long campaign ahead given the APC’s entrenched presence.

Analysts and party operatives expect a hard-fought contest, with both sides set to deploy significant resources. ADC leaders cautioned supporters to remain peaceful and legal in their mobilisation and to focus on issue-driven campaigns aimed at delivering improved governance if given the mandate.
