APC GOVERNORS MEET TINUBU AHEAD OF NEC DECISIONS

Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) held a closed-door strategy session with President Bola Tinubu last night at the Presidential Villa, in advance of today’s crucial National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
Sources say discussions centered around zoning of key party offices, particularly the contentious issue of whether the APC National Chairmanship should return to the North Central zone—its original base before Kano’s Abdullahi Ganduje took over.
Present at the meeting were Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and several others. The governors had earlier huddled for hours at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge.
APC insiders say the party is focused on consolidating power ahead of the 2027 elections, especially as it inches toward a two-thirds Senate majority.
