AREWA YOUTHS CALL FOR DEPORTATION OF SANDRA DURU OVER ‘FALSEHOOD CAMPAIGN’ AGAINST NATASHA, AKPABIO

youth group under the banner of the Arewa Youths Progressive Assembly has called on the United Kingdom to deport controversial activist Dr. Sandra Duru, also known as Prof Mgbeke, accusing her of orchestrating false narratives against high-profile Nigerians and constituting a public nuisance abroad.
In a statement co-signed by the group’s national president Shuaibu Usman and secretary Abdul Kefas Gambo, the group accused Duru of serial falsehood, citing her recent allegations that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan offered her N200 million to falsely accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting. Duru, who made the claims during a live stream, later denied ever having contact with Akpabio—a claim the group says is contradicted by her call log, which reportedly contains Akpabio’s number.
The youth group also referenced earlier allegations made by Duru against respected figures like former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili, arguing that she has built a pattern of defamation under the guise of activism. “The United Kingdom, a decent country, should not be a haven for such characters,” the statement read, warning that continued inaction may embolden others to use foreign jurisdictions to launch misinformation campaigns.
The group urged British authorities to act swiftly in deporting Duru, whom they accused of destabilising public trust and exploiting social media to settle political scores. The controversy is part of a larger political drama that has ensnared top figures like Akpoti-Uduaghan and Akpabio in recent months.
