The Benue State Government has approved N149.5 billion for major road projects aimed at improving transportation and economic activities.
Among the key projects is the upgrade of the Mbawuar-Bako-Negher Road with a spur to Mbaakon, valued at N73.9 billion, and the dualization of the Wurukum-Airforce Base Road, costing N68.3 billion. A 5-span bridge at Mu is also part of the development plan.
Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration approved the projects during a State Executive Council meeting in Makurdi. According to his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the projects will enhance road safety, ease travel, and boost economic growth. Construction will be handled by M/S Bahaus Global Investment Nigeria Ltd.
