The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has approved Akwa Ibom State to host the 2025 edition of the annual Judiciary Sports Competition, also known as the CJN Games.
Receiving members of the National Sports Association for Judiciary in Abuja, Justice Kekere-Ekun urged participants to uphold discipline, cooperation, and sportsmanship, warning against any behavior that could tarnish the judiciary’s reputation. She also emphasized proper management of tournament funds and called on the Association’s male-dominated leadership to be gender-sensitive.
The National President of the Association, Mr. Noah Sunday, thanked the CJN for her approval, promising a well-organized tournament. Akwa Ibom State has expressed readiness to host the games.
The visit concluded with the unveiling of the tournament trophy and presentation of sports kits to the CJN, according to Mr. Tobi Soniyi, Senior Special Assistant on Media.
