A wave of empathy swept through Benue State on Tuesday June 17th as the Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr Becky Enenche, arrived in Yelwata community, Guma LGA, following brutal attacks that left dozens dead and hundreds displaced. Standing on the scorched soil of his native Benue, Dr Enenche delivered an emotional message of hope, healing, and urgent leadership.
“We came not just with words, but with hearts — to mourn with those who mourn, to pray with those in pain, and to stand in the gap for healing and hope,” he said in a statement titled “A Visit of Love, Prayer & Healing – Yelwata, Benue State.”
The visit, steeped in prayer and solidarity, included stops at an IDP camp at the International Market where the couple shared food items and relief materials. Dr Enenche implored Nigeria’s political elite to show moral courage. “The solution lies in leaders having the will and zeal to do what is politically right and just. Every leader must remember — one day, we all shall stand before God,” he said.
His wife, Dr Becky Enenche, reinforced the call for spiritual and emotional resilience among the displaced, declaring, “To every grieving family, you are not alone. To every broken heart, God sees you and He will heal you.”
