EX-PDP LEADER MADUABUM DUMPS PARTY FOR ADC, BLASTS ELITE MONOPOLY

In a move that underscores growing internal discontent within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), former PDP National Director-General and two-term federal lawmaker Hon. C.I.D. Maduabum has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
At a press conference in Abuja, Maduabum said he could no longer remain in a party that has, in his words, “been hijacked by a small elite clique with no interest in genuine democratic reform.” He accused the PDP of failing to reconnect with the grassroots and of ignoring the changing political tides across the country.
“I am joining the ADC because it represents a clean break from the politics of godfatherism and backroom deals. It offers a fresh start for people who want to rebuild Nigeria from the bottom up,” Maduabum declared.
His defection has added further credibility to the ADC’s positioning as a viable third force ahead of 2027. Political observers note that the ADC is steadily attracting credible leaders disillusioned by the infighting and patronage systems within the two major parties.
