On June 11, Governor Umo Eno launched a 3-day Prayer Summit at the International Christian Worship Center in Uyo to spiritually usher in the third year of his administration. Themed “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn”, the summit is drawn from Isaiah 60:3 and aims to spiritually anchor the administration’s vision amid Nigeria’s turbulent socio-political climate.
Former State CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Ndueso Ekwere, described Akwa Ibom as a “beacon of light” already attracting national and international attention. He urged citizens to tap into that spiritual radiance for personal and communal transformation.
In a powerful exhortation, Pastor (Dr.) Mensa Otabil of Ghana’s International Central Gospel Church spoke on “Drop the Measuring Tape” (Zech. 2:1-5), warning against human limitations in measuring divine possibilities. He praised Governor Eno as the prototype of a new African leadership ethos, one rooted in humility, vision, and reliance on divine guidance.
The summit featured spirited worship, choral presentations, and intense intercessory sessions attended by clergymen, public officials, and worshippers statewide.
