IKA APC HOLDS FIRST-EVER STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING AS NEW POLITICAL ALIGNMENT GAINS MOMENTUM.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has held its inaugural Stakeholders’ Meeting in a landmark political gathering that signals deepening realignments within the state. Held at the Unity Hall on Sunday, June 22, 2025, the meeting drew participation from political leaders, traditional rulers, and grassroots stakeholders across the region.
Executive Chairman of Ika LGA, Barr. Utibe Nwoko, commended Governor Umo Eno for his leadership and alignment with the APC, stating that his inclusive governance under the ARISE Agenda had brought renewed confidence in state-federal synergy.
Chairman of the Elder Statesmen Forum, Hon. Biatus Udofia, lauded the APC’s growing influence in Ika and called for sustained community cohesion and collaboration between elders and elected officials.
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusive governance and appreciated the elders for their vision in supporting grassroots development.
Akwa Ibom Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, praised both the Minister and Chairman Nwoko for their leadership and assured stakeholders of continued legislative support.
The meeting featured the presentation of awards to Minister Ekpo and Chairman Nwoko and ended with the adoption of a resolution establishing a permanent consultative body to interface between the community and political leadership.
