KANO GOVERNOR APPOINTS NEW COMMISSIONERS, SOLICITOR-GENERAL

The Governor of Kano State has reshuffled his cabinet with the appointment of new commissioners and a Solicitor-General. The appointments, announced in a statement from the Government House, are aimed at strengthening the administration and ensuring effective delivery of government policies.

The nominees are to be presented to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in the coming days. While their specific portfolios were not immediately disclosed, officials said the governor had carefully selected individuals with proven records of service and competence to occupy critical positions in the state’s administration.

According to the governor’s office, the move is part of an effort to reposition the government to meet the expectations of the people of Kano. The statement emphasized that the appointees are expected to bring fresh ideas and renewed energy to the cabinet.

Political observers in the state note that the reshuffle comes at a time when the government is under pressure to address challenges in education, healthcare, and security. The governor is expected to swear in the commissioners once the House of Assembly completes the screening process.
