The upcoming Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA) 2025 has spotlighted lawmakers from Kebbi State, with several members of the House of Assembly announced as honourees for their service and contributions to the people. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel.
Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, leads the state’s list of honourees. He has been recognised for “Best Performing Member in Constituency Outreach” for his ability to connect with constituents, deliver projects, and foster trust through responsive leadership. He was also voted “The Masses’ Most Loved House Member” by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Kebbi branch, highlighting his popularity and acceptance among the people.
Other honourees include Hon. Na’amore Umar Muh’d (Argungu Constituency), who will be recognised for his initiative in sponsoring private member bills that address the needs of his people. Hon. Muhammad Garba Bena (Wasagu/Danko East Constituency) has been listed for his role as “Most Vocal Member on the Floor of the House” due to his consistent advocacy for issues affecting citizens, while Hon. Muhammad Buhari Aliero (Aleiro Constituency) will be celebrated as “The Member with the Most Impactful Motions.” Hon. Dr. Suleiman Abubakar Fana of Dandi State Constituency is listed For Constituents and Constituency Empowerment Award.
Beyond individual efforts, collective work is also being honoured. The House Standing Committee on Finance & Appropriations is set to receive the award for “Most Effective/Productive Committee,” in recognition of its role in promoting accountability and ensuring that the state’s finances are managed in line with public priorities. In addition, 



(Ngaski Constituency) will be acknowledged as “Most Effective/Productive Committee Chairman,” for steering financial reforms and supporting development-focused resource allocation.
The recognition of Kebbi lawmakers at PAMSHAA 2025 underlines the role of legislative leaders not just in debating laws but in delivering visible impact in communities, where the difference is felt most.
