Nigeria has been selected as the first African country to host the prestigious United Arab Emirates (UAE) Investopia Summit in 2025.
The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, described the selection as a testament to Nigeria’s transformation into a leading global investment hub.
The summit, set to take place in September 2025 at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, marks the first time the UAE’s premier global investment platform will expand to Africa. The event will bring together thousands of investors, policymakers, and business leaders to explore opportunities in energy, agriculture, fintech, artificial intelligence, and healthcare.
According to the UAE Ministry of Economy, Investopia was established in 2021 under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri. The platform has hosted high-profile summits in New York, Monaco, Milan, and Tokyo, attracting over 2,600 participants, including 1,600 senior executives.
His Excellency Bin Touq emphasized that the expansion to Africa aligns with the UAE’s vision of deepening economic ties with the continent.
“Africa is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing markets, and Investopia Nigeria 2025 will unlock promising investment opportunities. The summit will not only showcase Nigeria’s growing economic potential but also strengthen UAE-Africa business relations,” he stated.
The event will feature high-impact business matchmaking sessions, further solidifying Nigeria’s position as a key economic driver in Africa. Hosting the summit at Eko Atlantic City, a modern financial and commercial hub, reinforces Nigeria’s ambition to attract global investors and drive economic transformation.
