The National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) has entered into a strategic partnership with Circuits, a digital audiovisual distribution platform, to revolutionise Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism landscape using technology.
Under the agreement, NIHOTOUR will leverage Circuits’ digital ecosystem to deliver training, capacity building, and content dissemination across the country. The move is expected to expand outreach to professionals and aspiring practitioners, particularly in underserved communities.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, Director-General of NIHOTOUR, stated that the partnership aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s focus on innovation, youth empowerment, and economic growth. He emphasized that this initiative marks a major leap in standardising and modernising hospitality education.
From the Circuits side, COO Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni expressed enthusiasm about bridging African creativity with global audiences. The collaboration includes plans for culinary channels, podcasts, digital content platforms, and enhanced online hospitality curricula.
This strategic step places Nigeria among countries using digital transformation to elevate service delivery in tourism, reduce skills gaps, and improve global competitiveness of its hospitality sector.
