NON-INDIGENES CELEBRATE GOVERNOR UMO ENO AT VVF HOSPITAL VISIT

Governor Umo Eno’s 61st birthday, the Akwa Ibom State Non-Indigenes Alliance paid a charity visit to the Pope John Paul Family Life/VVF Hospital in Mbribit Itam. The delegation, led by Senior Special Assistant on Non-Indigene Affairs, Emmanuel Ogbole, donated food items, toiletries, and financial support to patients suffering from Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF).
In his remarks, Ogbole described the Governor as a symbol of inclusion who had broken ethnic and political boundaries in governance. “Governor Eno has carried non-indigenes along, from policy decisions to political appointments. We feel seen, and we came here to express our gratitude through service to others,” he said.
The hospital administrator, Sister Rosemary, welcomed the delegation warmly and commended the Governor for supporting healthcare institutions that serve vulnerable women. She noted that many patients are from rural backgrounds and require extensive care and rehabilitation.
The visit ended with songs, prayers, and a symbolic cake cutting in the Governor’s honor.
