NORTH-CENTRAL APC FORUM DEFENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S APPOINTMENT OF NEW NCDC MD
The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum on Thursday came out strongly in support of President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Cyril Tsenyil as Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), dismissing protests against the appointment as politically motivated.
In a statement by Chairman Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, the Forum described the recent protests—led by a group known as the Concerned Plateau Youth Forum—as sponsored efforts by opposition elements seeking to derail the Commission’s mission.
Zazzaga noted that the appointment of Tsenyil was based on merit and regional balance and cautioned against politicising a developmental agency intended to address the socio-economic challenges of the North-Central region.
He warned that attempts to discredit the appointment would only delay the much-needed interventions for the region’s infrastructure and youth empowerment. The Forum called on leaders and citizens of the region to rally behind the Commission for sustainable development
